Dear South Huckleberry Families,
Thanks to all the families who made Grandparent’s Day such a success. We enjoyed seeing all the special guests. Students were proud to show-off what we have been doing in class, especially the salmon pillows!
As you can see by the pictures, our salmon eggs have hatched and the alevin look very healthy. They will continue to grow and develop until they reach the fry stage, at which time we will be releasing them into the Willamette River in West Linn on Dec. 17th. If you are interested in driving and being part of this exciting event, please send me an email. More information will be forthcoming.
The week ahead will be busy for all. As we approach this holiday season, don’t forget to take time out of the festivities and count the many blessings we have in our lives. At the top of my list, just under my family, is the wonderful children I get to work with daily. By focusing on the good, we help our children see what really matters.
Wishing you all a wonderful and peaceful Thanksgiving!
Dainette Harris
