In library classes we are learning the importance of finding the "right-fit" books and reviewing how the check out process works. We have read some fun books to help us remember the importance of caring for our books.

I had the privilege of attending an author/illustrator highlight at Powell's book store this weekend. Matt Myers is children's author and illustrator and just released his newest title, "Hum and Swish". A beautiful story about a little girl who desires peace and quiet to create her masterpiece by the sea only to be continually interrupted by curious passersby. Someone comes by who understands and they share in the celebration of their masterpieces. Matt's artwork is stunning. A great book for all.
